ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

What exactly is included in the "full kitchen" in each suite?
Refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove, oven, coffee maker, glassware, china, silverware, cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils.

What's the difference between your condo-style suites and a traditional hotel room?
All rooms come with a fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette. One-bedroom (725 sq ft) and two-bedroom (875 sq ft) suites have separate sleeping room(s) and sitting area with multiple bathrooms. Junior Suites, One-bedroom, and two-bedroom suites have a fireplace and balcony or patio, as well. Junior Suites are 525 sq ft.

How recently were the rooms renovated, and what was updated?
Guest rooms were updated in 2023 with all furniture, beds, linen, and artwork being replaced as well as receiving fresh paint.

Do all room types have gas fireplaces? Are they real or electric?
Junior Suites, One-bedroom Suites, and Two-bedroom Suites have gas fireplaces.

What items should guests bring vs. what's provided in the kitchen?
Guests should bring their own spices, cooking oil, parchment paper, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, storage containers.

Is there in-room laundry or just shared facilities?
There is no in-room laundry. Guest laundry facilities have complimentary washers and dryers. Guests need to provide their own detergent, bleach, dryer sheets.

What is included in the Resort Fee?

Access to the game area (pool table, foosball, shuffleboard table, ping pong), 24-hour fitness center, oversized hot tub, dry sauna, grill terrace, guest laundry facilities, Wi-fi.

What is the parking situation?

Parking is complimentary and is in an underground garage, so your vehicle is protected from the weather. The secured garage is accessed by using your guest room key. There is a height restriction of 6’7”.

How much money can a family typically save by having a full kitchen versus eating out for every meal in Park City?
Eating out in Park City per person can cost: Breakfast $10-$25, Lunch $15-$30, Dinner $20-$100+

What are your weekly stay discounts, and when are they available?
Weekly stay discounts are available year-round and the amount of discount will depend on the season.

You're 1.6 miles from Park City Mountain but not slope-side. What's the advantage of your location?
We are a more affordable option with a fully equipped kitchen and fireplace in most of our suites. Guests can take advantage of our free shuttle service which goes to Park City Mountain, Deer Valley, Main Street, and within a 2 mile radius of the property.

There are also bus stops seconds away so guests can hop on and hop off the free Park City buses.

SKI SHUTTLE & WINTER SERVICES

How exactly does the complimentary ski shuttle work? Do we need reservations?
The hotel shuttle operates from 7am – 6pm with last ride at 5:30p and a lunch break from 1p-2p. It is on a first come, first serve basis and can be requested by either calling the property, calling the Front Desk, or texting the Front Desk.

What's the shuttle schedule during ski season? Does it run on weekends/holidays?
The hotel shuttle operates Sun-Sat from 7am – 6pm with last ride at 5:30p and a lunch break from 1p-2p.

Can the shuttle accommodate ski equipment? What about young children in car seats?
Yes, the shuttle can accommodate ski equipment. Park Plaza Resort does not provide car seats for children but if the guest brings one we will be able to accommodate.

Is there ski equipment storage at the resort?
Yes, there is a secured ski equipment storage room.

What's the closest place to rent ski equipment?
Aloha Ski Rental and Ski Butlers are in close proximity to the hotel and Aloha Ski Rental also has a location at the base of Park City Mountain. The property can provide discount vouchers.

PET POLICY

What is your pet policy - size limits, number of pets, breeds allowed?
Park Plaza Resort is a pet friendly property with a charge of $75 per pet, per stay (Max 2 pets). Only dogs are allowed.

What are the pet fees?
Pet fee is $75 per pet, per stay (Max 2 pets).

Are there any pet-friendly amenities or nearby dog parks?
Park Plaza Resort does not have pet-friendly amenities. There are no dog parks within walking distance but there are trails nearby which dog lovers frequent.

LOCATION & ACCESS

Is there a grocery store within walking distance? Which one do you recommend?
Fresh Market and The Market at Park City are both 0.9 miles from the property.

How do we get from Salt Lake City Airport to Park Plaza Resort?
Guests can either rent a car (Park Plaza Resort has complimentary parking,  height restriction of 6’7”) or take an Uber/Lyft. There are also private transportation companies that can be set up.

Do you recommend renting a car, or can we get around Park City without one?
It is easy to get around Park City using the free bus system.

How far is Historic Main Street, and can we walk there?
Main Street is 1.6 miles so it possible to walk there.

What summer activities are nearby for families?
Park City Golf Course is 1.3 miles. Utah Olympic Village is 7.7 miles, and they have zip lining, inner tubing, ropes course, and more. There are different festivals and concerts throughout Park City. Hiking and horseback trails are close by.

PRACTICAL GUEST QUESTIONS

What time is check-in and check-out? Can we request early check-in or late check-out?
Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 10am. Early check-in and late check-out are available for an additional fee.

Is there an elevator, or are all rooms accessed by stairs?
Park Plaza Resort has an elevator as well as four sets of stairs, one in each corner. The Property is 3 stories tall.

What's the parking situation? Is it covered/underground? Is there EV charging?
Parking is complimentary in the underground garage. There is a height restriction of 6’7”. Currently there are no EV charging stations.

Do you have cribs, pack-n-plays, or high chairs available?
Park Plaza Resort has pack-n-plays available for no additional charge.

Is there a front desk 24/7? What if we arrive late at night?
There is someone at the Front Desk 24/7 and late-night arrivals will be accommodated.

What's the WiFi situation - speed, coverage, password?
Wi-Fi is available throughout the common areas and all guest rooms. Guests can connect to work or stream online.

Do rooms have air conditioning?
All rooms have both heat and air conditioning. Most rooms also have a balcony or patio. The other rooms have a window that can be opened.

BOOKING & POLICIES

What's your cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy during Ski Season is 72 hours in advance, non-ski Season is 24 hours in advance. This is for cancellable reservations. Some reservations are non-refundable.

Do you offer group rates for family reunions or weddings?
Yes, we offer group rates for family reunions and weddings. Please contact the hotel directly for rates.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.

Can we book directly with you instead of through third-party sites? Are there advantages?
Park Plaza Resort prefers guests to book directly with the hotel, on the Choice mobile app, or on Choice.com. This gives more flexibility for changes to reservations and can be priced matched to most other sites. Guests can earn points towards Choice Privileges Rewards and move up in tier status depending on the number of nights or stays when booked direct.

COMPETITIVE DIFFERENTIATION

What makes Park Plaza Resort a better value than staying slope-side at Park City Mountain?
Park Plaza Resort is a better option than staying slope-side because we are more affordable and still minutes away by hotel shuttle or bus from the ski slopes. Our rooms have fully equipped kitchens, fireplaces, and sitting areas. Guests have access to and an oversized hot tub and dry sauna on the first floor in addition to the game area (pool table, shuffleboard table, ping pong, foosball). The property is located minutes from Main Street and in a less busy and quieter part of Park City.

How does Park Plaza compare to a vacation rental/Airbnb in Park City?
Park Plaza Resort has a fully equipped kitchen and sitting area just like a vacation rental/Airbnb plus a fireplace in the room. The property also has a game area (pool table, shuffleboard table, ping pong, foosball), oversized hot tub, dry sauna, fitness center, grill terrace, guest laundry facilities with complimentary washers and dryers. We also have staff available 24 hours to assist with any requests.

Why would a family choose Park Plaza over a traditional hotel like Marriott or Hilton in Park City?
Park Plaza has more conveniences than a traditional hotel as all rooms come with a fully equipped kitchen, most rooms with a fireplace and balcony/patio, and the rooms are more spacious. The property also offers an oversized hot tub, dry sauna and game area (pool table, shuffleboard table, ping pong, foosball) as well as complimentary washers and dryers for guest use. Depending on the suite type booked they can come with multiple bathrooms.

What's the best time of year to visit Park Plaza for families?
The most popular time to visit Park Plaza Resort is during the wintertime for world class skiing but guests who stay during the offseason find it more relaxing and peaceful. The summer weather is beautiful as it does not get hot or humid. Rates are more affordable from April – Mid-November and the mountains are just as breathtaking when they are green and full of wildlife. The changing of the leaves in the fall is spectacular and makes for a great family photo backdrop.

Can you recommend a typical 3-day itinerary for a family staying at Park Plaza?
Most guests who stay during ski season will go skiing during the day and then enjoy the scene of Main Street at night where they have life size snow globes designed by local artists. The day of arrival is usually accompanied by a trip to the grocery store to stock up on food to enjoy in the room as Park Plaza Resort offers fully equipped kitchens.

From Spring – Fall there are a variety of hiking trails with scenic views as well as different festivals and concerts to be enjoyed. Over the summer, Utah Olympic Park is a must do as guests might be able to watch Olympians and/or future Olympians train. There are also multiple activities to do there like zip lining, inner tubing down the ski jump landing pad, a ropes course, walking through the Olympic exhibits, and more.

What restaurants do you recommend within walking/short drive?
There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. For steak lovers, Grub Steak is right across the street. Down the street is Este pizza with NY style pizza slices. To fulfil the Mexican cuisine desire, El Chubasco is a short walk. There are more restaurants located in Kimball Junction which is about a 15-minute drive. Some favorites there are Hearth and Hill and Glyn Thai. Main Street also has a variety of restaurants depending on what you are craving.
